Widening the field-of-view on a Optoma EP741 DLP projector

I would like to improvise on a
wide field lens for the following:

F= 2.4~2.65, f=28.04~35.59 mm

This data if from my "Optoma EP741 DLP"

Please help me out, to purchase the correct
combination of parts.

Instead of purchaseing their lens for $999.99, maybe I can improvise one for ~$150.00
