I wanted to put my Canon SD1100 IS aloft using helium balloons. Google Maps trained me to looking straight down from above, satellite view.
I made a DIY homebrew picavet to hold the camera level as the balloon string changed angle in the wind. A picavet, also known as a KAP rig, is a self-leveling platform.
My picavet is ghettolicious, made from trash and misc. pieces: www.JetCityOrange.com/balloon-photography/
