Getting that Perfect Shot

Some of my friends sent me a photo today. This one:

It's a photographer taking a sunset photograph at Grand Canyon. How did you think he got over to that rock on the left?

He jumped.

The "Leap of Faith" article, which explains this photograph in full detail, even have photos of him jumping. Just reading the suspenseful story gave me the vertigo.

How many of your would risk your life doing something like that? I am sure not many. But what daring stunt have you performed at one time in your life to get the perfect shot?

I wouldn't jump a chasm, but neither did the person in your photograph. The end of the article you linked to has the "real" photo at the bottom. Not quite as risky as it looks. Great photo though.
