Some thoughts on the Olympus Camedia C-2500L Digital Camera

I need to know something about the built-in pop up flash of Olympus C-2500L Digital Camera. When I focus something there is a flash right prior to shoot / expose the object, how can I disable that prior light of Flash ??? Kindly comment and oblige.

The pre-flash(s) is the red-eye-reduction. You can disable it as follows:

With the flash popped up, push the flash/info button (below the Control LCD display) to scroll through the flash modes. The C-2500L offers four flash modes: 1) auto-flash; 2) red-eye reduction flash; 3) fill-in flash; 4) flash off. Disable the red-eye reduction flash feature.

I played with the flash modes some more last night and I noticed that the flash acts differently depending also on the metering mode.

With the red-eye reduction on, the camera fires a series of mini-flashes before the actual flash.

With the spot meter on, the camera fires a pre-flash before the actual flash.

With the spot meter and the red-eye reduction on, the camera fires a pre-flash, then a series of mini-flashes, and then the actual flash.
