Hi,
It seems that some properties like kEdsPropID_ShutterCounter are supported for cameras using the DIGIC III processor (like the 40D) while they are not for cameras using the DIGIC II processor (like the 5D).
However, any Canon repair center will be able to retrieve this value by using their own software. So the SDK is intentionally restrictive regarding these properties.
Why should I be allowed to retrieve the shutter count for a 40D and not for a 5D?
