Yes. A sample VB code is included in the API package.

No, unfortunately. Canon has apparently stopped providing VB and C# examples as of December 2009 (EDSDK 2.6/RC-SDK 8.4). They sure should reconsider. The industry is progressing, not digressing, like Canon here.
Quoting their site: "The sample code is available exclusively for Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. Canon Inc. has informed us that they will no longer supply sample code for Microsoft Visual Basic or other development applications"

The 2.7 SDK has a VB example in it. I have not looked closely at it as I am using C#. Good luck.
