how do get the inRef variable for the download function?

I'm using the VB.Net sample code.

I've modified the main subroutine to take a series of photos. But when the camera's buffer fills up, the pictures are no longer saved. The pictures don't get downloaded until the camera is finished taking photos.

I see that the controller.actionperformed("download", inRef) function gets called when the camera is ready to download pictures to the PC.
I would like to download pictures in the middle of my subroutine before the buffer fills up. But I can't seem to find where the inRef pointer gets assigned its value.

I've traced it back to the objectEventHandler() function but it seems to dead end there.

So how do get this pointer?

Thanks for any help.
