problems developing in EDSDK

Hi i work with vb.net 2005 to take picture from canon EOS 20d i have
the EDSDK and the sample code for vb.net so i did that:

1- install the driver for the camera
2- connect the camera to the pc
3- copy the all .dll files to the debug folder
4- open the project with visual basic.net 2005
5- i push f5 to debug

after these steps it work good and take picture as i want butthe
problem was:

1- in the first time i make debug it work well, but any more if i
close the exe and try to debug again i have just empty comboboxs
(which have the AEmode,Tv,Av,....)and the "take picture" botton has
no activity but if i turn off the cammera for a littel time and try
again it sometime work and some not i cannot find the cause!!!

2- the capture is very very slow,so only what i need to take
picture,i don`t care about the controllers like(iso, metering mode,...)
to be adjusted from the pc if it will be more fast, in exact i want
it more fast with any condition

I am not full experienced in v.net enough to make such a code
function. Any help or suggestions would be much apreacciated. Thanks

saeed.
