I was intrigued by Kodak's WiFi EasyShare digital camera today, so I stumbled onto an blog entry called, "Kodak Delays Wi-Fi-enabled EasyShare Camera". The entry is interesting enough, but what's more interesting is the comment following the entry. I'll copy the comment here for discussion purposes:
"Is there a Wifi-enabled DV videocam on the way? I'd love to leave the hard drives, AP, etc. in the car and walk around filming without worry.
"[Editor's note: I haven't heard of anything serious yet; it's more likely we'll see hard drives in cameras first.--gf]

The editor's note sounded strange to me . . . and made me want to post the following comment on the blog entry:
"Hard drives has already shown up in digital cameras in the form of Microdrives. Did you mean that perhaps we'll see remote hard drives for cameras first?"
Unfortunately, when I clicked Post the blog said, "Comments are not allowed on this entry." I hope the editor of WNN Wi-Fi Net News will see this thread and make a comment.
