miniSD Card to SmartMedia Adapter

Are there, or will there ever, be an adapter to use a SD or SD Mini in to a device like a MP3 player with a smartmedia reader??

i have seen "xD to Smart Media Adapter" but
no Sd or Mini SD adapters.
