Buying a Digital Rebel, what to watch out for?

Hello, how do you check the current shot count on a digital rebel, (300d or kiss) Also, what esle should I watch out for on a used one, about two years old? The grip has a ding on the rubber bottom or looks like it could be worn from rubbing inside a bag too.
thanks,
dave.

dave, I don't believe there is any way to determine how many times the shutter has been actuated on the Digital Rebel. I'm not even sure if the camera, itself, keeps track of it.

I think the best thing to do is to take a good memory card and a good lens with you to try the camera out. On a sunny day, use the sunny-16 rule to test out manual exposure. Play around with the other auto-exposure mode and see if the results pleases you.
