remote trigger

I'm trying to add a remote trigger to fire off a Kodak easyshare cx6230 and eventually a c300... I've taken apart the cx6230 and tried to wire directly to the push button to activate the switch. It does it fine, except it produces blurry pictures. How can I effect the autofocus and have it work? Any info would be great; as soon as I get it up and running I would be happy to provide info on doing it for others.

I finally got it to work: just wired to the wrong pin-outs...
