Remote Control and RAW Mode in Nikon L-Series Cameras

Hello! Hope someone out there is listening :) I have a nikon coolpix L120 and was wondering if anyone knew how to enable raw mode? I like to keep forum questions simple you know, so I'll be brief, ive installed a couple different doctors of photopc on my ubuntu netbook and haven't gotten it to control the camera at all.. But when I connect the camera vIa the supplied USB cable in windows xp, it will take a test photo and display the result to me instantly.. So I know the camera has the ability to be controlled @ that level. Anyone know of any elaborate control programs for windows perhaps that could give me an ability to shoot in raw formats? Possibly offer me a more elaborate camera control ability while shooting tethered.. Possibly the ability to change a sharpness? Thanks in advance!
