D70 is a nice camera with a lot of good functions, the iso is not the best and you can spot noise even on low iso levels.

Easy to clean :)

I wanted to upgrade from a point-and-shoot camera to one that was not over complicated, a "bridge" camera was Ideal! I chose the D50 because of the terrific reviews and because I could justify the cost to the wife! To this end the reviews said that the kit lens was not the best and one professional photographer said that he used just TWO lenses. These were a wide angle 12mm lens (I think) and the 18-200mm VR lens for all other work.
I now use my D50 with the 18-200mm VR and totally agree that this combo is superb. I recently took my camera on holiday to China and took some impressive shots both wide angle and close-up. I also took night time photos in Shanghai and in the Reed Flute Caves, and stage shots at a show. I am very happy with the results and since the camera is better than I am, I will be growing along with it.
