nikon's OS

as far as i know nikon coolpix works under real time OS from Sierra Imaging. since SI has gone by Conexant I cannot find any source of S3P RTOS. Is someone something know about it? Maybe we could be install the other rtos, say, eCos or smth?

Seems like Sierra Imaging has dropped out of existence since 2001. I can't find any source either. Do you know what processor the Coolpix are running S3P on?

sorry for long long replay - well, the main CPU of nikon is SPARClite, but secon CPU, controller, is NEC D78064GCA35 operate on 78K/0 OS. it's for nikon CP990. The only thing I need is bulb shutter time more than 60 sec. but I dunno how I ca programm/firmware change for it.

D70 firmware ver 2.0 is based on the fujitsu RealtimeOS FR family.
Can be seen with a hexeditor.
