Olympus EVOLT E-500 Power Switch Replacement

I have an Olympus EVOLT E-500 8.0 MP Digital SLR Camera - Black (Kit w/ 14-45mm Lens) and the on/off switch broke off. It still turns on and off with a little help. Can this be replaced ??
Thanks for your time !!

Did you ever find an answer to this? I've just had the same problem - no suggestions on web, only to send it to Olympus

Epoxy glue works wonders at solving this but you need both parts obviously.

You can use tiny craft tools to drill or melt small hole in the the remaining piece of leaver on the camera. Then attach a small bolt into the hole to act as a leaver.

If your happy to buy parts off eBay and strip your camera, you can replace the part yourself properly.

Finally, you could send to a service agent with the purchased part for fitting. I say with the part as its an older camera and even Olympus themselves are getting stuffy about repairing old equipment. Naturally they want to sell you new and improved.
