Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 - An Esteem Digital Camera

Panasonic is a Japanese multinational corporation with its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. They produce electronic products under the names Panasonic and Technics. They also produce non electronic products and home renovation services. Panasonic has unveiled a new micro four third digital camera with touch control shooting called Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 digital camera. This is the world's first interchangeable lens system digital camera from Lumix G micro system.

It contains a 12.1 Megapixels of effective image resolution. It contains a touch sensitive 3.0 inches LCD display having 460,000 dots. The dimension of this camera is 124 x 84 x 74 mm (4.9 x 3.3 x 2.9 inches). The ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 100 to ISO 6400. The maximum aperture will be 3.5. It has a 1.4x live view finder having 1,440,000 dots which make it possible to see the results of the settings made for capturing a picture in advanced shooting. In the burst mode DMC-G2 can operate at 3.2 frames per second.

DMC-G2 includes advanced touch features which allow the user to shoot by just tapping the subject on the LCD display. A touch on the subject lets the user to set AF to release the shutter. With the comfortable touch screen operation, the advanced AF functions works at high speed with accurate contrast. The newly added iA button to this camera permits this operation for trouble free shooting. The face detection function is used to focus on the subject and capture the subject face bright and clear.

DMC-G2 is compatible and record high quality audio with external stereo microphone DMW-MS1. My Color mode is used to stimulate the creativity of photos and videos taken. The movie P mode allows the user to change the aperture and expand the expressiveness while movie recording. The intelligent auto mode allows shooting and automatic optimization of scenes captured in both photo and video with ease. This camera can record 720 pixels high definition videos at AVCHD lite format.

It comprises a live CMOS sensor and new Venus Engine HD II that integrates intelligent resolution technology in it. With this integrated feature it can produce high quality images at both photo and movie recording. When the user lock the target then the camera tracks the subject by using the AF tracking function. The multi area AF is used to set a group AF point with respect to the situation. The dust reduction system contains a supersonic wave filter which eliminates the unwanted dust from the camera. The supersonic wave filter vibrates around 50,000 times per second and removes the dust effectively.

DMC-G2 comes with software which helps to sort and organize the captured photos. Using the software the user can upload videos into YouTube by using the built-in YouTube uploader. It uses SD/SDHC memory cards for storage purpose. It uses a lithium-ion rechargeable battery for power. It provides 360 shots for a single full time charge. The camera weighs 593 grams (20.9 ounces). Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 is available in black, red and blue colors.
