Hey
I really want to be able to turn on the LED Illuminator whilst recording movies with the Olympus 8010. Does anyone no how to modify the firmware or such so that this is a possibility?

Is this for lighting? Shooting video in the dark?
If it is for studio use, you'll have more flexibility if you get a dedicated spot light for the purpose.
But if you gotta move around with the camera, then something small like the "Sima SL-9 3-Watt Video Light" could be glued to your camera until you figure out a way to enable the built-in LED.

Hey,
Its for shooting movies in the dark. I know the panasonic FT2 is capable of this, so I was suprised when the olympus couldn't do it.
Is it possible to modify the olympus firmware at all? This would be the best solution!?
