ive had the e62:10 error on my T30 several times now. whacking it hard near the battery door usually fixes it but not always, sometimes even after whacking it a good 4-5 times and nothing, just leaving it overnight will do the trick.
it keeps coming back though, and it seems more likely to occur right after pulling the battery out to recharge it.
like just today, i've been using my camera off an on for about 2 weeks without running the battery out, no error or buzz on turnon at all. TODAY i pulled the battery out to charge it and on the first turn on i had the error.
i just smacked it around a good bit and its still doing it, so ill check in the morning - it will probably be working fine again.

I use T9 since more than 2 years - without problems.
But today E62:10 occured suddenly.
After Reading these comments I tried shaking and bumping the camera. NAfter several times autofocus seems to work right again
Support by sony in the web - I could not find anything!

I have a Sony DSC-T30 and received the E62:10 message and an electrical buzzing noise in the camera. Long distance photos were out of focus. I found this page and am most grateful for the advice of other readers. I banged the camera against a paper pad on a hard table, 3 times on each occasion, battery side first, then the bottom, having removed the memory card. This achieved nothing with the camera in either play or photograph modes. However, in video mode it worked and the dreaded E62:10 warning finally disappeared.
