Change Shutter Speed

Is it possible to replace the spring in a Kodak MAX to achieve 1/1000 shutter speed? I really need this.

Just curious, what kind of pictures will you be shooting with a 1/1000 shutter speed disposable camera?

I need to take pictures that aren't blurred when objects are moving quickly. That's the main jist of it.

Crisp fast action. Oh, and I'll be using anywhere from 30-120 units to do this, so you can guess what I'm trying to accomplish...

I can imagine that you are trying to accomplish some Matrix style effects, eh? Sounds interesting . . .

You may be able to make your own springs. I think what you need is a torsion spring. Read this web-site on "How to Make Springs": http://home.earthlink.net/~bazillion/springs.html

I also thought maybe there are relative inexpensive cameras (< $20), such as Holga, where the shutter speed can be adjusted to 1/1000. But I couldn't find any.

Let us know how your projects turns out.

True. I'm trying to develop an actual computer controller for analog cameras that will create effects like these at a consumer price. It's open source, so it's non-profit.

Not much new to tell you so far. It's all circuits, code, and hard work.

can you tell me how to wind the film up and set the frame counter in a bit more detail? I'm going to need to do this for my "experiment."
