VCL-DH2630 on generic VAD-PEA lens adaptor

I just bought the generic VAD-PEA lens adaptor for the P92 camera since Sony stopped producing them. I have the VCL-DH2630 lens. I can't get it to fit on the adaptor. The adaptor seems to be to big, I think it's 37mm. How do I get the lens to fit? Is it possible?

Yes. The VCL-DH2630 has a M30 x 0.75 mounting thread is made to match the Sony VAD-PEA lens adapter. The generic VAD-PEA lens adaptor (I assume you are talking about the one in the picture below) has a 37mm filter thread.

This means that you can not attach the VCL-DH2630 directly to the generic VAD-PEA lens adapter. Instead, you'll have to get a 37mm-30mm step-down ring for the conversion.
