Typically, fluorescent light bulb gives out white light. When photographing with daylight film, a FL-D filter is needed or the photograph results in a greenish color. With the recent energy conservation trend, incandescent-replacement fluorescent light bulbs could be found everywhere. They are finding their ways into the light bulb sockets within our homes.
Today, most home fluorescent light bulbs emulate the incandescent light bulbs in color. Has anyone tried shooting pictures under these fluorescent light bulbs? What kind of color effects are you getting under different white balance modes?

Title: inside a fluorescent light bulb
Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: What's inside a fluorescent light bulb? I've wondered that recently. With a incandescent light bulb, the electricity travels over a filament, making it hot, thus lighting it. Does the fluorescent light bulb work the same way?
