Canon G11 Hack to take EF Lenses

I'm thinking. Would it be possible to get one of those lensmate adaptor tubes. Modify it to take a Canon EF lens. Possibly knock out the G11 optics if required. Rewire the autofocus interface, all thats left is the aperture control. Imagine it a G series body with any EF lens you wish.

That will be a great option for someone like me heavily invested in EF mounts and yearning for a lightweight Four/Thirds body.

I got halfway through trying this on a Sony Cyber-shot digital camera. Take a look at this thread to get some ideas: Sony Cyber-shot and Canon EF Hybrid

The thread provides mechanical ideas that would practically work. But rewiring the autofocus interface and aperture control would be difficult.
