In reading the news, I came across the following two news articles:
Ethicon gets FDA clearance to market camera pill
New pill camera helps diagnosis with throat problems
These articles describe a camera-in-a-pill for "diagnose and evaluate diseases of the esophagus."
"The pill takes about 2600 color pictures in the 20 minute travel time. The pictures are transmitted to a recorder which the patient wears during the procedure."
I just thought that is really cool! So, kinda makes me wonder if a consumer version will be available in the future. One question came to mind . . .
What are some imaginative ways that this camera can be used?

Looks like Olympus is making their own version of the capsule camera . . . Hopefully the race is on to develop a consumer version.
The article, located here, indicates that the capsule is "powered by a rotating magnetic field" and is battery-free. So how does this work? How does it provide power to the capsule?
