Building a universal remote for cameras

Hi,

New guy here. I would like to build a universal remote for cameras. I know that some universal remotes have a learning mode feature for TVs and such, but I don't think that they work for all camera models. And besides, I want to build my own microcontroller based device. To do this, I need the IR codes for all the major camera brands and models. Google hasn't been of any help so far, so I thought someone here might have the info or know where to find it. Thanks!

Carlos
