Mix-up between CameraHacker.com and CameraHacking.com

While reading the December 2005 issue of Popular Photography & Imaging magazine, which I have been a fan for a long time, I was pleasantly surprised that the Snapshots column in the magazine mentioned my name and the camera hacks on this web site. It even featured a picture from the APS film cartridge hack.

The only problem is a mix-up in the web site address. Rather than providing the readers with the correct CAMERAHACKER.COM address, Popular Photography magazine printed the CAMERAHACKING.COM address. Although this blunder shredded my web site of some glory, I felt it was a good exposure of the camera hacking community to the photography world.

CameraHacking.com is not affiliated with CameraHacker.com. However, the members and the owners at that web site are quite passionate at hacking the disposable digital camera and disposable digital camcorders. When you have some time stop by their web site and see what they have done with Dakota disposable digital cameras.

I noticed today that Popular Photography has posted a correction to the web site address mistake . . . Correction: Dec. 2005 Snapshots. I never thought that they would act this fast. I applaud the Pop Photo editors for responding to this mistake so quickly.
