Practice Shooting Fireworks Photos and Videos in the Los Angeles Vicinity

Last weekend, I parked in the parking lot of Big K-Mart on Katella Avenue and Euclid Street. I sat there waiting for my wife to return some goods in Big K-Mart. While waiting, I heard a boom, then another, and then some more. I was kind of confused. Started looking around and saw fireworks in the Disneyland direction. Then it all made sense, Disney is showing its "Fantasmic!" fireworks extravaganza. I sat there, watching the fireworks, too far to hear the music, and a photographic idea came into my mind.

Disneyland put on this show every weekend throughout the whole year. This large Big K-Mart parking log has a wide-open parking lot that faces Disneyland. It's a great opportunity to sit there in the parking lot with your camera/camcorder to hone in your skill at capturing fireworks. For those of you that lives close to this spot, you might want to take advantage of the "Fantasmic!" show before Independence Day comes around on July 4th this year.
