Fixing the E:61:00 Moisture Problem on Handycams

My dears,

I have this E:61:00 problem when I was shooting in the rain and water got into the camera and blured the lens. I was very, very worried about it (and I hope if it's happening to you it's only the problem I had). I saw the blur inside the lens, making it impossible to focus and with the E:61:00 message on the screen. It obviously was the lens being fogged. Then ok, I left the HANDYCAM with lens visible and facing up, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM to the kindly touch of sun, NOT DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN, but bahind a raybanized window inside my bathroom. The warm touch of the sun for such number of hours totally dried the camera (inside and out) and it was working perfectly after it. I just left it from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM for it to finish drying and be sure it would be safe to put it on the case again. I really hope this helps you, remember this can work with small handycams, digicams and others... be ware about how you treat your professional camcorders.
