BANDS ACROSS THE PICTURE DCR-TRV270E

HI THERE I HAVE A SONY DIGITAL 8 CAMCORDER, MODEL DCR-TRV270E, I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 2YRS BUT HARDLY USED IT. I KEPT GETTING AN ERROR WARNING WHEN I TRIED TO USE IT SAYING THE HEADS NEED CLEANING. ANYHOW I INVESTED IN GETTING A HEAD CLEANER TO TRY AND FIX THE PROBLEM. WHEN I TRYED TO FILM BEFORE THE RECORDED PLAYBACK WAS SHOWING BANDS ACROSS THE PICTURE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE TRYED CLEANING IT WITH THE HEAD CLEANER BUT ITS STILL NOT WRITE, PLEASE HELP THANX

I got the same problem with my camcorder after dropping it. I think the tape head alignment got displaced. For me if I push the tape firmly towards the play heads after loading the cassette then it works okay. This is fine until I replace the tape then I need to follow the same routine. This is keeping me going until I buy a manual that shows me how to align the heads correctly.

Title: The All Caps Mentality
Weblog: mind
Excerpt: WHY DO PEOPLE TYPE MESSAGES IN ALL CAPS? Every once in a while, I'd visit a forum, newsgroup, or some other social medium. And I'd bump into a message that is typed in all caps. Although I think it's hard to read, it doesn't bug me enough to become furious. On the other hand, I always see a follo . . .
