DCR-HC28 Cassette deck won't close and error 32:11

I tried to use my camcorder 2 days ago. I took the tape that was in it out just fine and tried to put a new one in. When I pushed the tape to go into the cassette compartment it kept popping back out. I pushed it a few times and then the tape just got stuck, but it never stayed inside the compartment. I got the tape out today, but I'm getting the error 32:11. I tried all the things on here, like unplugging the battery and plugging it into the wall. But when it's DC adapter is plugged in it won't turn on and if the camera is on when I plug it in it just turns off. My battery has 103 minutes on it. And if I can't do anything myself, where can I get it fixed? I bought it from Best Buy and there is no Sony repair place near me. I got in it December 07, so it's still under parts warrenty. Please help!!!!! Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem: I am not able to insert the cassette, the display is telling me to reconnect to power source, and the same error or 'C' number is displayed in the upper righthand corner C32:11. Anyone have any ideas??

I just discussed this error with SONY support. After troubleshooting via Live Chat for about 30 mins, resetting the camera, trying various things, nothing worked. The representative, when asked what the error means, only answered 'internal malfunction' and that the camera has to be sent in for service. $211 worth of service, before taxes and shipping. Very disappointing. I'm going to by a camera from a different manufacturer. SONY just lost a customer today.

Same problem here.
The Sony repair shop here in Tijuana wants to charge me $130 dollars...Sorry, another lost customer.

I am having the same problem. I even took the whole thing apart and removed the internal battery. Anyone figure this out yet?

I have had the same problem. And Sony has been no help. I have gotten it to take the tape back in a couple of times by leaving the tape door open for at least half and hour, and then resetting the camera via the tiny reset button.

I have had this issue twice now.
First time I had a local repair shop fix it to the tune of 130 dollars and it took them 10 days to get the part from Sony.

I used it once following the repair and now it is doing the same thing exactly.

This time I will not be fixing it and I will NEVER buy another Sony product as long as I live.
F*** Sony!
