Getting DCR-HC26 to work with Vista

I was looking for help to get my DCR-HC26 working on Vista and the direct driver link on "anonymous"-s post and the suggestion by "Littlemack" worked perfectly.....

I am trying to use DCR-HC26 with Vista. The camera connects fine through firewire, but I need software that allows me various qualities/file sizes so I can transfer my video to DVD. The software that came with the camera will not install on Vista.

I need cheap or free software, or at least to know how to trick Vista into installing it.

HELP!!! I am drowning in tapes and the associated costs!!!
