Sony DCR-TRV310 recorded playback blocky when panned

Help i can't figure out whats happening to my sony DCR-TRV310. It records perfectly if you don't move the camera. However if you pan subjects during record mode when played back i have blocky pixels down the left side of the screen. If i put in another tape that was recorded on a different camcorder they play back fine. It only happens to what i have recorded on the TRV310 and only if the camera is in motion or using the zoom. Tried cleaning heads and it did not help. Any suggestion would be helpful. I'm hoping it will be a cheap fix.

That's interesting. I wonder if it is a defective image stabilization. Try turning off image stabilization and see if you have the same problem.
