software for DCR-SR30

Hey!

I have a HDD DCR-SR30 camcorder and I need a driver to transfer the videos to my laptop. I think that I need "Picture Motion Browser Version 2.0.11 Software" driver or a driver that will do the same thing but I have no idea where to get it??!!! I got this cam from a friend of mine as she did not need it anymore so I dont have any CDd or CD codes/numbers etc? So if anyone could help this finnish chick out and tell what to do so that i can get this stuff on my laptop i would be so over-the-moon-happy!!!!!

Thanx!

You don't really need to download any drivers if you want to connect via the Firewire port. Your operating system has the Firewire driver built-in. If you want to connect via USB, you can try this driver: USBDRVEN.EXE. Take a look at the articles on the Digital Video page to get more information.

This cam uses a dockingstation to connect to the usb port of your pc. It is recognised under XP as an external drive, without any drivers installed.

place the cam on the dockingstation, turn it on, press HDD on the touch-screen, windows detects the external-drive.
