problem playing Digital8 tapes on Video8 camcorder

ok well i have a problem... i recorded some film on a digital8 sony cam that wus the format NTSC... now im tryin to play it on my video hi8 handycam but for some reasun everytime i put it in it gets all distorted and theres no sound n no video...it only plays on that one specific camera...and it annoys me cuz the one it plays on isnt mine. its an 8mm tape and ive been tryin to find one of those vhs adapters but they only have them for vhs-C... i need major help pleaseeeee. thank you

Digital 8 is saved as a FILE on the tape not a analog picture. Digital 8 is 8mm tape but tis a completely different format.
