S4 disfunction : striped pictures

Hi there, I just discovered this website. I have a nikon S4 and overnight the pictures became real bad (pictures look striped). I am thinking about reinstalling the firmware : does anybody got it in any version ?

NB : I have also a nikon FM2 that is 25 years old now and works perfectly ... ;-(

Hi there, does anybody had this problem on a coolpix ? If you have an idea to fix it please tell me.

Maybe I can reinstall the firmware : if anybody got the firmware file in any version, please attach it here.

Images with horizontal stripes may be caused by:
1. Shutter jammed open.
2. Sensor (CCD or CMOS) problem.
3. Bad image processing (board problem).
Either would require a qualified digital camera technician to look at.
