problem with Coolpix SQ

I have a Coolpix SQ, and my problem started during New Years Eve party: when I try to shoot a picture, the lens work normaly, but nothing happens. The red led appears and then nothing. If I try the Manual option (near the video option) I get in the upper right corner of the display a small red square which blinks, the image is normal, the lens move normaly, and then... nothing.
I would really need some help. Thanx
