Edit miniDVD on Mac

How do i edit my mini DVDs in my MAC i have been having this problem forever!!! i cannot connect my camera since i have no firewire cable and i was thinking in using the DVD ripper but is it going to work with my iMovie?

you can rip it to your HD or use Handbrake to convert the video on the mini DVD to mp4 or whatever format you want.

Just make sure it's one that is compatible with iMovie if that's what you want to use.

if you're going to do alot of this, make sure you've got a faster Mac or invest in a firewire cable.

converting with handbrake will take time and so will the processing when you use your footages with iMovie. With the firewire, you just have to upload and then process with iMovie.
