ilink and dcr-hc38

Hi
I have a dcr-hc38 sony camera. I also have an ilink cable and a pci card connected with it.
But Picture Motion Browser dose not recognize the camera and then I cant convert the film on tapes into the digital files.

Do you know if it's the Picture Motion Browser software that is causing the problem?

You can determine that by trying it with Windows Movie Maker: Capturing DV with Microsoft Windows Movie Maker. If Windows Movie Maker works, then it's the Picture Motion Browser that is the problem. If it doesn't work, then it's your Firewire connection.
