Firewire port (DV) driver is built into the operating system. There are no downloadable driver. Your operating system should automatically recognize your camcorder. Which operating system are you using?

Then you are not using the DV port. You are using the USB port. I suggest getting a IEEE 1394 (Firewire) cable for the DV port and use that instead.

Not sure I understand. The Firewire driver comes with Windows XP without any patching. You shouldn't need to download from the net.
