I called Sony with the same problem. They cross-referenced it and found that the DCR-TRV19 camera used the same driver as the DCR-TRV280. I took the download off Sonys website and it worked perfectly.

For USB, right? Try this Sony USB driver: USBDRVEN.EXE

For Firewall, the driver is built into Windows XP and Vista. See the following articles for help:

Ok, I put the driver on shortly after I got the camcorder. Having trouble trying to allow my daughter to use it as a "web cam". Darn things keeps telling me I need Macromedia Flash to use the software it came with "Picture Package". Flash player is installed and has been, including any updates....what's the problem? Anybody got any suggestions?

Just download the USBDRVEN.EXE file and then double-click the file to run it. If you have Windows Vista, then you follow this instruction: Connecting Sony Handycam to Windows Vista Via USB.

Hello, Finally I downloaded the driver for the Sony Handicam DCR TRV280 thanks to you guys. My PC ran the software and said it was installed succesfully. Now what else I need to do to be able to see my recordings from my handycam in my PC and be able to save them in a CD? Thank you very much for your support:
