camcorder doesnt work with 4-4pin firewire?
i have a sony dcr-hc23 camcorder. i can succesfully connect it via 4-6 pin firewire cable to win xp desktop computer,but two other laptops dont detect it with their 4-4 pins. one has xp and one has vista. help please

Is it the cable? Have you tried two different 4-pin to 4-pin Firewire cables?
