has anyone tried to put analog 8mm vidoe onto the computer using a digital8 camra. i want to eventualy put some old stuff on for people but im not sure if it works. It would also be cool if you could get vidoe of 8mm tapes using a computer 8mm data drive! It would be kinda useless but still fun to try!

The high-end Digital8 camcorders can read analog 8mm video tapes. The recent models also have firewire and USB ports for streaming to a computer.
As for a computer 8mm data drive reading 8mm tapes . . . that sounds like a cool hack . . . But I don't know what it takes.

you only have to buy an inexpensive capture card and get the video in and audio in cable connected to your camera!
asus v7700 deluxe will make the job
