Free Video Editing Software

Having made two tapes worth of videos with my Sony DCR-HC90 recently (see "The Road to Sony DCR-HC90 MiniDV Handycam" article elsewhere on this site), I have been doing a lot of video editing. Using the free Microsoft Windows Movie Maker that came with Windows XP and the free VirtualDub software left a lot to be desired. They are both good products and have plenty of capability, but some improvements could be made to both of them.

I started looking around for more free video editing softwares out there and came across the a article called, "Top 7 Free Video Editing Software Products". The article identifies products for Windows and Mac OS. It also provides brief descriptions of each. The software include Windows Movie Maker 2, Apple iMovie'05, Avid FreeDV, Wax, ddclip Free, Zwei-Stein, and HyperEngine-AV. I'll be looking forward to giving each of them a try.

If there are any others free video editing software, please feel free to add to this thread. I will be doing the same.

i want to go into film making.
