I am going to be recording on a lot of film on mini DV. I am thinking about having this downloaded to DVD (which I can later edit) by an outisde company who does it at a flat rate pretty quickly. When I go to edit the DVD on my computer using editing software, probably Pinnacle, does it make a difference that I will be editing FROM a DVD? Does that make it faster? Or, will it still have to download (slowly from the DVD to the computer)? Is having it come from DVD faster than it downloading from the video camera?
