Kodak Zx1 Memory Card Slot Malfunction

I have a Kodax Zx1 HD digital camera. Uses the SD Memory card. Problem is, now the SD memory card, when inserted, will not fully engage and hold when pushed in. Thought first it was the SD card, so tried another, but still won't lock into place in the slot. Believe issue is the the camera itself. Could there be a mechanical device the catches and holds the card and perhaps this is malfunctioning? Any way I can repair, or need to send for repairs?
