Thanks anjtaylor and the guy who discovered this. I just did some squeezing on the bottom of my sony hdr-cx100 and the lcd worked.

I have an HDR-CX100 as well. What part exactly did you squeeze to get the screen to reappear??

HOLY ****!! Nevermind Adrian. I was messin around with pressing the bottom and it worked!
