I have a sony DCR-IP5 camcorder. I pressed eject to retrieve the cassette. Now I am not able to close the cassette cover with or without a cassette.
Really appreciated if you have a solution to this.
Thanks,
Anuradha

I'm having a similar problem. My DCR-IP5 is stuck open and the "eject" icon continuously blinks on the display screen and the device beeps several times. I've tried removing the battery and reinstalling but that doesn't seem to help. If anyone can offer any suggestions on how to get the part that the cassette inserts into to stay closed when pressed down, I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jonathan

I am also facing the same issue. Sony says it is due to moisture and the functionality is as designed - it should not close when there is moisture in camera section. But even after keeping it open for several days it wont close. If you find a solution please post it here

Hopefully someone will see this message.
I have the same problem. I have the DCR-IP5 and the door won't latch closed and retract into the camera.
The error code C:32:11 is on the display. I've tried taking it apart and looking at it myself but I can't
see anything noticeably missing. Please someone help all of us!! We don't want to spend $311 to send to Sony.
Thanks,
Tyler
