[In reference to "usb drivers for sony dcr-dvd92"]
I'm not a computer wiz like some of you are claiming to be. I have the dcr-dvd92 and I love it. I purchased a Pinnacle studio launcher and I'm able to edit and dubb music into my video. I then burn it onto a full size dvd for hours of entertainment. Stop bitching and forget about the USB port and just enjoy the camera.

I agree it is a lot faster to add pictures and video files directly from a dvd to your computer than through a USB cable from your camera or camcorder. I also use Pinnacle Studio Launcher and it works great w/ DCR-DVD92. Read your software manual it is pretty simple to load video and audio. No drivers or downloads for your camera are needed. I bought Pinnacle 10.5 for $29.99 @ bestbuy.com on a Chrismas, I mean Holiday sale.

I also have the DCR-DVD92. I recently purchased Pinnacle Studio 10 with which I'm hoping to accomplish some minor editing. I know very little about either of these products as of yet. However, I did try to edit some pre-recorded footage on a finalized RW+ mini-disc with no luck. I don't know if it was because it was finalized or if it was recorded on a RW+. If anyone could offer any advise or direction it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

I don't know anything about computers so I need this to be broken down as much as possible. I have the DCR-DVD92 and upon reading all the comments I want to make sure that I understand. If I were to buy the Pennacle Studio 10 that would allow me to put my mini dvd-rw into my computer and that software would allow me to download on my hard drive so it would also let me edit and put music to my video and burn to a regular size dvd? Do I understand this correctly? I really dont want to purchase software and it be a waste of money. Thank you!!

Pinnacle Studio 10 has the functionality to import dvds. This way, movies grabbed on the dcd-dvr92e can be imported in the software, that will make an mpg out of it on the harddrive, then edits can take place and the movie can be burned back onto a dvd! More or less three small dvds fit onto a big one.
