i have a DCR Hc21 it was working fine and it just died. it wont turn on. it wont eject the tape. when i plug it in to charge the battery light does not turn on. do these thing just completely die?

The first thing to do is to isolate whether it's the camcorder that is dead or the power supply. If you have a battery with charge, then it's pretty easy to test. If not, and you have a separate battery charger, then you can charge up the battery.

I have a DCR HC90 that went completely dead when i disassembled it. There are about 6 super tiny fuses inside on the mainboard. The one that supplied voltage to the mechanical deck had blown and when I replaced it everything was fine.
