If you are daring, you can try using a cotton swap and rubbing alcohol on the video head. Let us know if that does the trick.

Thanks Chieh

I done as you said, i clean the head some times, but the error doesnt dissapear. May I have to reset the error?
I use the camera, and it doesnt seem to be dirty, the records and playback goes correct. But the error on the screen is still show.

Then I suggest you use Sony's head cleaner and give it a try. That's how I cleared my C:22:00 dirty head error. If that still doesn't help, then you may have a problem. Maybe there is gum like substance on your video head.

But Im trying to avoid using the sony head cleaner.

Just reset the error, because I can use it to record and play with the message and the images were perfect. I dont know why does it appear the message, probably the camera have a counter to show the code and we have to buy sony tape to clean it.

Hmm? Maybe the Sony tape cleaner has a reset function??

I don't know if the camcorder has a counter or not. But here is my experience ...

I have a Sony DCR-TRV350, which I bought quite a few years ago. I have played and recorded a lot of tapes on it. It had never required head cleaning.

I have also bought a DCR-HC90 several years after the DCR-TRV350. But very shortly after buying it (maybe one or two years), I got the dirty head error. Using the Sony tape cleaner cleared it up.
